First we need to disconnect the battery, as we will be disconnecting the SRS seat belt assembly cable under the seats. Take care to note any codes etc before disconnecting.
Slide the seats to the rear to enable you to undo the two torx50 bolts, one here and the one under the slider handle.
Now slide the seat forward to expose the rear two bolts here
and here
Now disconnect the srs cable and the only thing keeping the seat in the car is the set belt attachment. Tilt the seat up to get to the bolt.
Note the order, then remove the bolt, spring washer, and the spacer.
Now you can remove the seat, take care of your shiny paintwork, because the sliders are sharp edged. Dropping the top can make removal and refitting easier.

Posted 14 years 2 months ago #16682Note that the seat frame has been clamping down on the srs cable. Not good. Take care to ensure this doesn't happen when you refit the seats.
Refitting is simply a reverse of these instructions. When you have fitted the seats, and reconnected the seat belt cables, then connect the battery and turn on the ignition to see if the SRS light indicates that the system is functioning correctly.

Bryan Young;16837 wrote: You dont clean under the seats then! - very good how to, the bit about disconnecting the battery first is essential, i understand that you can fire an air bag if the SRS system capicatitor is not discharged!!
I would always advise people to disconnect the battery first, it's just something I never practice myself.
