Hola a todos desde España!
Soy el nuevo y orgulloso propietario de un MGF del 97. 
Con suspensión de Mike Satur y luneta trasera de vidrio. 
Estoy poniéndolo al día (tras 4 años parado) y pronto empezaré a restaurar y modificar el interior.
Os mantendré informados!!

Hello everyone from Spain!
I am the proud new owner of a 97 MGF.
With Mike Satur suspension and glass rear window.
I am bringing it up to date (after 4 years of standing) and will soon start restoring and modifying the interior.
I will keep you posted!!

Enjoy. Typical of MG there is a lot you can do on the MG and it seems that there is a lot of support. I have a 97, I have done much but still more to do.

First 100km...i really love it!!!
When I've arrived home, I've a few failures:
First, when I turned off, the car doesn't start again. Electric OK, but doesn't sound anything on the starter (I will try to reach it and see what fails)
Second, the fuel gauge doesn't moves, and the low fuel light doesn't turn in. 
Third, the speedometer shakes until 50-60 km/h only on that range...
And four (at the moment) the rear suspension (from Mike Satur) sounds metallic, I suppose I will fix it with grease.
I will upgrading the post!!!

El motor de arranque. Verifique el conector de pala pequeño en el motor de arranque. 

El velocímetro es accionado por cable. Si se ha desconectado en algún momento es normal que la aguja tiemble. A veces puedes solucionar esto desconectando el cable del velocímetro y girando la funda exterior del cable para precargarlo antes de volver a conectarlo.

¿Quiere decir que el indicador de combustible no dice nada o que no vuelve a cero con el encendido apagado? Algunos años los automóviles tenían medidores que siempre mostraban el nivel de combustible, otros años los automóviles tenían el medidor puesto en cero con el encendido apagado. No hay ninguna luz de "bajo combustible".

I will check everything as you told me. 
The fuel gauge doesn't move. Anything.
At first, 6 liters, doesn't move. I think it's not enough. 
But with the next 15 liters, not any movements.
Maybe, the fuel meter inside the tank, in the last 4 years that's been parked, it's stuck.
Hope it auto fix it in the next recharges!!

Check the electrical connections at the sender unit at het fuel tank they may be loose or corroded

Revisadas todas la conexiones... Sigue sin funcionar!
