It's the black, dome shaped bit of black plastic that screws onto the main dash
I am also after a Mike Satur rad bleeder if your car happens to have one installed.
Cheers,
Rich

Good binnacles are much sought after, best of luck!Rich in Vancouver wrote: I could use the portion of the dash that fits over the instrument cluster. (Binnacle?)

I didn't even notice it but a friend took one look through the driver's window and said,
"Shame about the cracked dash." WHAT!!!
I'm tempted to super glue the crack but I'm sure that will just accentuate it.

I should be able to find one before I'm reduced to that!
I suppose I could remove the front trim piece and epoxy a reinforcement behind the crack.

Yes ive got the full dash, its in good condition. So hopefully I can remove the binnacle wthout any breakeages.
I'll have a look tonight, get a picture of it.
Do you have a email address i can send a pic to?
Cheers
Chris

Hmmm, so ive looked at the binnacle, its in great condition, but i cant see a way to remove it!
The screws are inaccesible inside the heating/ventilation tube under the dash, and its bonded on.
Looks like Rover bonded the tube on after screwing on the binnacle.
I could drill/cut some holes in the tube to remove the screws and remove the binnacle, but you would have to do the same to your dash i guess!
Or swap out the whole dashboard just to replace the binnacle!
