This evening I was washing the MGFs in the drive when a teutonic looking fellow in a Z4 cruised past. I didn't wave but did give him a smile and...Nothing! He was as stonefaced asif I'd mentioned The War!
That kind of put me off, but not five minutes later a very attractive blonde went by in a midnight blue MX-5 with a Union Flag decal on the back and not only did I get a lovely smile, but a cheery wave as well. Made my evening! :drive:

I tend to get waved at by little old lady pedestrians for some reason? Maybe because I'm rapidly becoming an old man!!

In the TF you often get blanked by Zs driven by kids, letterism pure and simple. We also get blanked by MGBs which is hilariuos when our MGB has been on the register for 30 years and has been in Safety Fast Enjoying MG and on the cover of WAMGOC's newsletter, fortunatley without me in frame.
T types and older seem pleased to see you, maybe some MGBs are a little insecure?
I notice we get waved ar by any 50/60s classic these days when we are out in the MGB and thats good. I have posted before here that years ago near Bisley en route to home from a SE centre event on a sunny evening a statley Edwardian pile with the whole family aboard gave us a cheery wave. It sort of summed up what being addicted to fossil fuels is all about.

Always used to wave and get a waved reply in the MGB.
ZS wave, sometimes a wave back, but normally a straight ahead stare, or a "what are you doing", look.
MGF/TF not really had that long enough, but most down our way havnt waved yet.......

oooooooh I get loads of waves, and quite a few honks

Nothing nicer than a good honk - you are lucky to be getting so many, it's the horn that counts of course.

If I beep my horn, I'm likely to get 'the finger' in return. :lol:Blow-in wrote: it's the horn that counts of course.
I wave, because life's too short not too.
