I am with Softly on this one,

many moons ago I bought a compass for the speedboat, she was OK with the boat?
in Court hearings she brought that up, (1979) [10 years after the purchase]

been single ever since.
And no-one will ever find out what my Trophy has really cost me 'so far; and still planning, no-one:

Spare wheels and tyres added today, [still need one black wheel folks]

I haven’t lost my marbles they are in a bag somewhere

My '98 MK1 F cost me £1k to buy just over 2 years ago. I have spent another £2k + on wheels, exhaust, Pipercross induction and practically an entire interior change.

Eyebrows were initially raised when one parcel after another started arriving (it's hard to sneek doorcards, seats, exhausts etc past SWMBO).

However, once I pointed out that I could have bought and modded 3 cars for what her last car cost the point hasn't been raised again ;)

I think my exact words were "I could buy and run 3 of these for what your cr*pheap cost"

My wife knows what the purchase price of the car was. As for the parcels that show up full
of parts we operate on a "Don't Ask-Don't Tell" basis, although if they appear too frequently I get THE LOOK!
Of course, she has no idea what my E-Bay feedback count is! :omg:

I have a postman step dad so can filter parcels before SWMBO knows about it...... very good :-) or sometimes get things to work wink wink looks a bit funny when the boss sees a massive parcel they must think I'm a terrorist with the amount of parcels that go in and out of my office

Ex : "Those seats look nice"
Me : "Yep, got them yesterday!"
Ex : "Must've cost a bit"
Me : "Nope, the guys laptop blew up, so I rebuilt it and he paid me with those!"

It was kind of hard to use the same excuse when the Toyosports manifold landed on the doorstep :P

Hmm now with my better half owning a trophy, I don't suppose anything will get past her - that's when I can actually stop spending money getting the Damn thing fixed... Then take her out... Then buy flowers... Hang on, no money left haha

Some of you can, the others rely on those that can to help them, or mechanics with a fetish for older blondes ;)

As for how much I have spent on Madam, I stopped adding it up at 5 grand B)
