 This is just banter.
1.) neither of us support teams from the same city.
2.) we're both on the same side of the bigotry divide .... ( :nonod: sad , but true...).
Andy ... (amtcoupe) ... I totally sympathise with your view that the supporters are the club, and in that respect you're right ..... however to touch on Clives' issue with the beautiful game... money has stolen the clubs from the fans ... leaving supporters like you and I at the mercy of businessmen who's bottom line is personal profit, not the pride nor the history that the supporters cherish.
Ultimately Murray et al sacrificed your beloved club, robbed the country of £millions in taxes, caused immeasurable hardship to hundreds of creditors and businesses who'll likely never see the money they're owed, and cheated their way to success by operating fraudulently and buying players they couldn't afford where if their true finances had been known, they'd've been ineligible for european competitions and the SPL long ago.
If I were a true blue, I'd be ashamed to cling to the name of Glasgow Rangers, given their recent history in business, and on the terraces and streets of other cities.
Leave the poison and bigotry behind.
Embrace your new start, embrace your new name.
Who knows ... others may actually stop despising and mocking 'Rangers' if you accept the truth and move on.

It's not the first time a winding up order has been issued, .... and it's not the first time it's been stayed.
Hearts are in big financial do-do ( as are 3/4 of all professional clubs in the UK ..... ), but at present the supporters, and reducing the clubs running costs have raised sufficient funds to clear their impending debts.
Of course David, had 'Rangers' paid us the £850,000 as promised for a player they bought from Hearts but couldn't afford  ...... they'd have paid off the HMRC bill and had £400,000 left over.

The ebt's were all legal and above board as murray always said they were
The true state of rangers finances were published twice a year . it was a PLC jeff no way round that one , I have several old shareholders reports if you want some ?
Murray was backed into a corner by lloyds and hmrc , he sold to the shyster whyte who bought the club under false pretences hoping to make a quick buck and the rest is as they say history .
I think you'll find that hearts will be getting paid by rangers for wallace , I believe theres an installment due in january and the balance in july , strange that dont you think ? a club that no longer exists paying historical debts , whatever next ?
I believe we also did offer an early albeit reduced settlement to alleviate your financial woes but mad romanov chose to throw your club to the wolves instead of taking us up on our kind* offer ?

You don't mean GUILTY, ... BUT NOT AS CULPABLE AS FIRST THOUGHT..... which is still, technically GUILTY. .... Yes?
Finance and Tax Tribunals Appeal number: SC/3113-3117/2009:
MURRAY GROUP HOLDINGS and OTHERS Appellants
- and -
THE COMMISSIONERS FOR HER MAJESTY’S
REVENUE & CUSTOMS Respondents
TRIBUNAL JUDGE: Mr Kenneth Mure, QC
Dr Heidi Poon, CA, CTA, PhD
S A Rae, LLB., WS
Sitting in private at George House, 126 George Street, Edinburgh on 25 October –

We make the following Findings
of Law as affecting the general arrangements and confirming in Law as well as in
20 Fact the trust structure and loan arrangements –
1 The principal trust purportedly constituted by the Trust Deed by
MGM Limited and Insinger Trust Co Ltd dated 20 April 2001 was valid and
subsisting and continues.
2 The sub-trusts (subject to our remarks in paras 210 and 226) purportedly
25 constituted by the relative declarations of trust were valid and subsisting and continue.
3 The sums advanced to the employees of the Appellants by way of loan in
terms of the relative loan documents, were made in pursuance of discretionary powers
and remain recoverable and represent debts on their estates.
4 The sums advanced by the Appellant companies into the principal trust,
30 whether on payment thereto, or on payment to a sub-trust, or thereafter on being
advanced by way of loan to the employee, were not at any time held absolutely or
unreservedly for or to the order of the individual employee.
233. Accordingly, the assessments made fall to be reduced substantially. It was
conceded that advances in favour of certain players are taxable and liable to NIC, and
35 we have found that in certain other limited instances, there may be a similar liability.
To that extent the assessments should stand. In these circumstances we expect that it
is sufficient that we allow the Appeal in principle. Parties can no doubt settle the
sums due for the limited number of cases mentioned without further reference to the
Tribunal.
I've highlighted the relevent words for those of a 'blue' persuasion who get their propoganda from the Scottish unionist press, and the Daily Rangers* in particular.
The amount of liability is reduced, and in that respect the appeal was a partial victory ... but here's the thing the principle of the assessment still stands.
Guilty,. just not as guilty as before ... if you like.
I thought as an intelligent man you'd see through the vested interests, and skewed reporting of the MSM Andy.

A lot of truth coming out about Rangers recently with all the deluded back tracking at lightning speed.
As Andy says, we are paying our footballing debts even although we won't get outstanding transfer fees coming in. A new club wouldn't be doing that. Not to mention the money stolen by the corrupt SFA/SPL.
Murray chased the dream and left us in trouble. We were recovering with debt down to £18m which is far less than what Hearts have with vastly inferior turnover. We were guilty of the EBT's before the trial which lead to us getting punted to a crook like Whyte. Whyte looked for the quick profit and it backfired. Admin/Liquidation arrived. The Rangers are still here. Not guilty.
Life has never been better in Division 3, you just need to see how empty the Glitterdome is these days.
