It a conflict between the forum and the shoutbox , Both developers are aware but not high on priority

I always remember to post in the shoutbox while reading a post, then back to recent topics to pick another read (and answer in shoutbox).
Not perfect but usable solution fot the time being.

This is a glitch in the shoutbox programme so out of Simon's control.

Allways? or since the new design?

Since the update, Simon.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I downloaded the Tapatalk app: I think I may need a tutorial on it!

I use tapatalk on my mobile and find it good for keeping an eye on recent posts and replying. weak points for me are no shoutbox and no pms.

Always on iPad. Tried a new browser but just the same, but just randomly crashes and have to log back in. It was doing it every 2 minutes. Gave up with it and use tapatalk.

I know this has never been the quickest of sites to load pages up, but it seems even slower than normal today. I just timed and it took 7 seconds to load this page! Is there anything that can be done to speed up load times? :-?

Edit: It was 4 seconds from hitting submit to the page posting :nonod:

Thanking posts is as bad with having to reload the entire page each time.

I think that's my whinge over for now

Better web hosting would solve it, we need around 250 pound a month guaranteed revenue to be able to do that so for what we are paying I think it does pretty well

The site is painfully slow for me on the desktop (using Firefox) and completely unusable on the phone. The site before the update was perfect on my phone and I used to use it for most of my viewing and posting so not able to do much of either now!

I haven't read through the whole topic (as things are loading so slowly I'd be here all day :P ) so sorry if it has already been suggested but is there any way of being able to select an alternative and simple skin?

Performs well on my lap top, and as a oldie find it easy to negotiate.

Sounds like subs will be required to upgrade, so that all the other devices can log on and read through it all.

I can appreciate all the hours and head scratching that goes on behind the scenes, to update and improve the Forum. All way beyond me, just grateful someone has the knowledge and the know how to do it.

So thanks to the team.
