Taking inspiration from the A35, the rear brakes will be actuated by push rods, made possible by the technology of the sliding hydraulic slave cylinder. Check it out: it really happened......

I'm struggling with how to graft half shafts: one bent to give a wheel wobble, into the transmission set up.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Would be good ideas for a Ford project, but going a bit more modern.

I tried searching for products that could produce this on ebay, but had no luck.
Is this a sign of the modern world gone mad I wonder?

Ebay + Nectar = lots of MGF points

Dont forget to equip it with Armstrong lever arm dampers,at least one with a defective valve, Marina style collapsing king pin to keep you alert on corners, oh and string back driving gloves would be so de rigeur for the driver, along with his polo neck.... (oh I used to work with early BMC/MG stuff, the stories I could tell would scare you!!)

Engine is at the wrong end, all earlier cars had front engines!

You'd need to remove all the plastic trim so that the metal is exposed, replace the carpets with rubber mats and the seatbelts with adjustable lap belts, no central locking, electronics etc,

You'd only have a mirror on the drivers side, proberbly on the wing and at a push a dash mounted interior mirror.

The seats will have to be low back and to be really retro how about door handles that are loops but open at the front and a upright bonnet badge.

TC raises a good point about engine position: I have pondered this and decided that repositioning the washer bottle, spare wheel and jack would be an engineering nightmare. So, I am keeping the engine at the back but mounting it north/south rather than transverse. Radical, eh! This will mean that the T Bar will go to make room for cylinders 1 & 2. The cylinder head will be useful to keep a mug of cocoa warm on, being both flat and hot. Also I will save weight by no longer needing a heater. And, by making a six foot long crank handle I will be able to add that period feature of the starting handle.

Getting excited now!

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
