nice one, good find it looks in great condition, you will enjoy driving a F i know you originally wanted a TF but you wont be disapointed.and it looks like your getting it just at the right time

I got two fantastic bits of advice, both from David Aiketgate who recommended that (1) I take my time till the right one came along and (2) not to dismiss the F as a possibility. Both boxes, ticked. I will be only the second owner of this car and it has only 36 000 genuine miles on the clock.

Mine has 55000 km (55000km = 34175mi) and has become my pride and joy.
Maybe you will need some accessories like Richards tartan rug.

110 miles home, top down in the sunshine. Absolutely great! I am hoping that it stays dry tomorrow so that I can clean the car from top to toe. There are some road chips that I want to sort out and a couple of supermarket dings that also need o be addressed. I will need to get a hold of a new back screen - this one is almost opaque. The soft top also needs a good clean - any suggestions of what to use to clean it? Mechanically, all temps and levels exactly as expected on the drive home.
