Ben I just masked off the mesh simples...

The vents just pop out from the front I suggest you use some of those green plastic bits we all bought last year for about
£3 lol

Cheers Richard & Paul. Richard the MGF ones are easy to take out with screws. I didnt want to knacker any of the paint by bodging them out. I think I'll take them out tonight, leave the car on the drive and have a bit of a mesh party in the front room when mrs and twins are asleep tonight and post the results later.

Just a question of do I use epoxy resin or mastic to stick the new mesh down?.. Good job on the pink stuff.

I had never considered blue and pink as a colour combo, but I have to admit that Betty is definitely a head turner. Great job.

I'm not a fan of pink on cars generally. :nonod: That said, I think that works brilliantly, the pink accents against the blue are much more effective than a totally pink car! :broon:

I didn't do the mesh on mine (they were done by the previous owner) and he used mastic - working well several years later on.

The original adhesive seems to have been a mastic however I used silicone on mine and they are holding well.
