Posted 11 years 2 months ago #127572Sound bloke laid back as you can find, but panel beating and painting he is definetly the man at.
Repaired cars for me for the last 15 years,a little gem hidden away on a industrial estate,as emphasised earlier in the post a expensive bodyshop doesnt guarantee good results. This TF is small fry to the states i seen him repair before.

Posted 11 years 2 months ago #128585It could not be matched in solvent. It has been scanned but the colour came out a bit darker,
The colour as now been matched after the paintshop had to liase a bit with Lechler in italy and it should be painted for the weekend.

Posted 11 years 2 months ago #128646Seriously i have and own some fast motors but i think i would take it slow and learn the track in a 1.4 90PS engine, perhaps enjoy the scenery as i get the feeling this track needs some respect and reigning in.I think i would be foolish to rush around that one without learning the limits.
Once all that sensible stuff done would love to attack it in a RS4.
I watched a lot of onboard footage, most notibly of jackie stewart doing a lap in the seventies and kind of appreciated why even they didnt want to race there at times.Brave men, cant believe Lauda raced 4 weeks after that horrific crash,i after admire such mental let alone physical strength.

Owned one of those though, loads of power but a bloody big car and the suspension (I use that word loosely) was rock solid - and I don't mean as in really stable!! lol

I've had a brace of them as well lovely big barges with plenty of oomph , suspension was as you say a tad on the firm side especially coupled with the 17's and rubber band tyres .
I had an oxford blue saloon
and a BRG fastback
Going from the rock hard vitty to a much more pliable 620 sldi on 15's led to me actually making myself sick on my B road blast to work , couldnt believe how much it wallowed after the rock solid vitesse
