Posted 11 years 1 week ago #134242As an adult you should be able to handle the truth and know whats wrong an whats right. No one wants a nanny state that will filter pornography, then news, then what you can buy, who you should vote for...

Posted 11 years 1 week ago #134246Apparently anything to with sex is 'verboten', but extreme violence, murder and mayhem is OK. Check out the online 'games' many of these poor innocent kids will be playing.
Even the adverts for them are cringe-worthy.

When that sad day comes, will we lose our international members? I wasn't able to watch tvcatchup in France (it is blocked in your country it said). Who knows what this patronising filter will bring.
I do, however, think that the whole censorship brigade are seriously contributing to The Streisand effect. :yesnod:

As Clive says, the kids have the technology to circumvent filters.
I recall my old mate. A pub landlord. He paid a top flight IT pro to install filters etc to stop his kids: teenage boys: viewing unsuitable content whilst him and his Missis were working the bar.
A spot check, 10 mins after the expert had left....... Shall we say imaginitive use of erm.... Objects.
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Hear, hear. :yesnod:Anything that Lord Snooty and his coalition of sanctimonious pathological liars, splitters, hypocrites and shaft- licking sycophants propose as the Right Thing To Do means that I oppose it.
Our grandson is 2 years old and my good lady tells me that any filming of the kids at his nursery Christmas panto is taboo as a paedo prevention measure! WTF! I laughed when she told me it was a crime. A crime, my balls!
It's on in a couple of weeks or so and I'm not having that! They can call the police before I stop filming. I've videos of all my kids pantos, butlins etc and I don't see why I shouldn't film my grandson playing baby Jesus H. Christ. With all the effin cameras in the UK they're going to tell me I can't film a panto just in case a nonce sees it, however, I can buy a dvd from them! I don't know which chinless genius came up with that brilliant idea but I just can't find it within me to roll over to such crap. For me, it just beggars belief. :nonod:
I wonder if they have a complaints procedure? Any teachers out there that know the answer to that question please? Or am I wrong to insist on filming there?
Anyway, they can see it on youtube later at any time. Unless google blocks it of course.
