Just checked & at 12.38 am there was 15 members & 551 guests on line ;)
If the guest count is accurate, perhaps more should be done to convert them to members :yesnod:

Just a thought Forrester...but one of the main draws for me on this forum is the really excellent How To section..I swear I've read through it at least three times already..sad really...If finding out stuff is important to the 500+ guests maybe giving the How To sections more prominence would work..even elevating them to a summary headline in the Forum section....alongside INDEX, RECENT TOPICS etc..

We're prominent via search engines and the guides are free to view worldwide. Guests come and go many times in a day. :)

Asking a question, joining an event or even entering one of the occasional free prize competitions requires people to register and join as a member. :yesnod:

Not sure what you are saying....do you think that nothing should be done, or can be done, to attract more members? :-?

The guest number will be massively inflated by search engines indexing the site, need to knock at least 500 and bit of that number. Figure would have been closer to 15 members and 25-30 guests.

An average run down would be like this
5 Guests - Site user not logged in or hiding
10 Guests - following a referral from other sites (mgf-tf-central , ultimatemg , F register etc..)
1 Guest - reading how to change the brakes on a Vauxhall Astra
4 Guests - Just realizing we aren't a cafe or a shoe shop
5 Guests - Using a How To, having just posted how .org is the best site and they couldn't possibly keep their F / TF on the road without

me too!...well done and fast, Simon... ...now if the How Tos could be organised by subject..rather than author that would be perfect.. ..would make searching for a particular problem so much easier..Trouble it then wouldn't reflect the hard work the authors have put in constructing each How To..maybe list the author alongside the How To ??....or something..
