The majority of my 134 youtube videos contain a link to the T-Bar. The combined views amount to around 120k so far and bring many visitors to the site. A number of those visitors have since joined as a member.
The shout box quizzes have been popular and the stats have shown many viewers watching the event, if not actively taking part, at those times. I have to mention the enormous popularity of another previous MG quiz run by retired moderator PQD44 Paul together with a few of our seasoned, veteran members. I'd be happy to start up the shout box quizzes again, after the next site update which Psymon is working on.
The final price game was also very popular, yet very simple, and ran for some months up until Christmas last year. KentJohn and Goldie being the final winners of the game.

If it came across that way then it wasn't intentional. My point being that our main attraction is the guides section that is found primarily via search engines. When I joined (2.5 years back) there were 300 members. As a team, with thanks to the site staff and members alike, we've increased that number to 1550 to date.
Now, I've primarily spoken of my role in the T-Bar just to indicate on what is occurring behind the scenes from my perspective. The rest of the admin team are also heavily involved in many other aspects too. Both as a team and individually. :yesnod:
There are things going on in the ivory tower (the admin team section) right now that nobody but the admin team are aware of. But it won't hurt for you all to know that we're increasingly proactive behind the scenes. It may well be that we'll soon be asking members for their own ideas and suggestions. Maybe we'll run some poll votes on that and see what's popular before implementing anything. We're always open to suggestions though. You can send those via pm to any of the admin / mod team if you wish to do that. :broon:
If I 'spam an event' to my friends list the views and visits go through the roof. So, if you're a guest reading this, please join up to be on it. Then you'll get a welcome to the T-Bar message from me (one of my chores) for part of that very purpose. :hugs:
If I missed anything, it's because I'm busy co-ordinating the T-Bar war plans.

Leigh...my posting wasn't intended to be destructive criticism...you really don't need to be so defensive..As I've said before I really do like this forum..better than the others...I like the site design and the genuinely helpful attitude...The only reason you get suggestions is because we are engaged and care about the site and want it to be even better..
I wasn't aware that so much was going on behind the scenes (although I guess I should be..I ran the 289 Register for many years so I should understand the amount of hard work that has to take place in order to make anything worthwhile happening)..
Even though there is so much sterling effort being expended and that much of it is hidden that isn't a reason for the rest of us not to feel free to make damn fool suggestions, however daft they may be..
..and if there is anything I can do to help the hidden effort please let me know..I'd like to be able to put back some of the great stuff I've learned from all of you...

Could it move up and down the edge? Or change colour once in a while. Sometimes those sort of things make something more memorable.

For instance..on my iMac I can see the orange How To on the left using Firefox..and Safari..and I suspect on a Parallels Microflacid session using IE...ugh!...but it doesn't display on an iPad using Safari, Mercury or Chrome..
Simon....is the site designed for specific browsers/devices...do you have the means to test it on the most popular ones?...happy to help if I can..... :yesnod:
