She asked what I call my MGF, I told her if I was to follow her example it would have to be Cecil after Cecil Kimber the founder of the MG marque, :nonod: so I just call it the MG.

You're sister owns a Ferrari !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If she's looking for a new guy please ask her to send a picture of the Ferrari and house.

She just conned the current bloke into getting himself a Ferrari 458!

I've tried naming my cars but it seems I'm just not into it.
A friend has a purple (Amaranth) MGF and calls it Barney after the annoying purple dinosaur. That one fits!

Ours is named... By Sue:

Darling Belle, Belle for short ( after a song from our yoof, some 40 years ago and bestowed only upon our favourite cars over the years.)

I call the car the same when roof down driving,

but when working on her ( the car not the Wife)

the Poxy blue thing is known as ....

That *****ng vicious blood-sucking money-pit heap of Birmingham-built ****.

Which is when I come inside to get yet another Elastoplast. And a Benson. And a beer.

Then the name of the wonderful car is back to Belle when fixed and the roof is back down and driving around our Leics lanes in the sunshine.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

When I bought my MGF I also had to buy a full set of tyres because out of the four that were on I had three different makes. New tyres, new shoes she got the name Imelda after Imelda Marcos who is famous for her very large shoe collection...it works for me.

Well it's become a pressing need to name the MGF VVC as it's confusing now with three in the stable so a bit of web research has been done and the newly acquired Green Mk1 VVC will hence forth be known as "Elsie" after Elsie Wisdom whom raced MG's with some success. So meet "Elsie":-

She will be staying and be fettled and upgraded and updated a bit where required.
