The plastic windstops do have a tendency to crack at the fixings.
The mesh type are much more effective wind stoppers.
Depending on your sitting height, the top of your head may still be subject to the wind, mine is so I wear a baseball cap. :yesnod:

I have a very similar type and only used it about three times. At any sort of speed, it starts to flex and the fixings feel and sound like their going to snap at any time. This is obviously quite disconcerting when driving as you have visions of the deflector being ripped off and smashing through the windscreen of the car behind.
However, I have no experience of any other type so I don't really know how it compares to the mesh types.

I, too wear a titfa when diving with the top down, it stops my locks from blowing about and a titfa does something a windstop can't..... it keeps the sun outta your eyes.......... Oh that's right, you don't really get any sun over there! :bust:

Titfer Tat = Hat

Cockney rhyming slang, so you're ok asking this time. ;)

Interesting, thanks for that.

So it would seem that it is probably better to purchase a mesh type

Screw it down tight-ish and then unscrew it a quarter of a turn. That allows it to flex a bit. Don't have the windows down if doing over 70mph is my advice for longevity. Other than that, they're a pretty good deal and work well. :broon:

:bust: Nice editing Leigh!
To those who don't know, Leigh was involved in only the first 4.5 seconds of that video of Hartside Pass. :P
