Although the classic car show had excellent content its presentation was awful.
For the love of cars and car sos were much better than anything else imho.
Looking forward to the last 2 episodes of the current topgear then the new series.
I totally agree Andy about the clunky presentation of the Classic Car Show, especially the couch scenes although Jodie is easy on the eye! However the cars were great and out & about was quite a lot better.

They should have just created a new motor show and let it stand on it's own.
By keeping the Top Gear name, it will fail for one of two reasons:
1. It is too different from the Top Gear that we are used to and the current fans will resent the fact that the format and hosts have been changed beyond all recognition.
2. It is too much the same as the Top Gear that we are used to and the new hosts will look as though they are trying to be Clarkson, Hammond and May.

There's no doubting that 'Top gear' is a huge franchise that they'd want to keep milking for all it's worth. However, I believe that we're all indoctrinated to change by now. If they get the team chemistry and humour right with a few decent cars to 'steer us away' (intended) from those evident changes, the day will carry in my humble opinion. :yesnod:
When have I ever been wrong before now? Ok, maybe just once or twice. [strike]But to be fair, they both looked 16.[/strike] :tada:

But Top Gear is like Dr Who, been around since the dawn of TV but re-invented every few years.
