Hi All Probably a simple task! But how do you remove the windscreen washer bottle? From the top or from underneath?

Lift out the spare wheel, remove the black bulkhead cover, the piece which covers the wiper assembly, clutch master cylinder etc.
there are four plastic nuts, two on the left & two in the spare well & a single screw head plastic “rivet” in the air intake, certainly for the snorkel type, early f’s had a box but I think the same applies.
Once that’s out of the way you can remove the canister lid, which simply hangs about on its plumbing whilst the canister is absent & lift canister out. It is held by a dovetail shape moulded into the canister which indexes with the mounting bracket.
After a few winters the screen wash deteriorates & coagulates, a good cleaning is a grand way to spend a couple of hours whilst you watch the rain wash down the windows as you look at your forlorn car being battered by the storm.

It looks an impossible job when that wide black plastic cover is in place but child's play once that is removed. Removal will also give you a chance to clean up under there.
Dont worry If some of the plastic retaining nuts are missing or fall apart, replacements are readily and cheaply available as they are used on lots of Mercedes and BMWs - search for 51711958025 on Ebay

Thanks for all your advice. Take out that black cover thing by the spare wheel. Pull up bottle, disconnect electric plug, and water pipe -OUT! Not even 5 mins. And no crawling underneath.
