Cambelt
Changed the cambelt today while the engine is out.
the top pulleys line up perfect but the bottom pulley looks half a tooth out.
I used the correct locking tool and the cambelt pitch in the same as the one I took off.
any suggestions?

I went and had another go today and I found a really useful tip.
Roger suggests moving the crank back (anticlockwise as you look at the crank) half a tooth. As the belt is fitted between the crank and exhaust camwheel, the belt easily slots into engagement. When the slack is taken out the correct timing is achieved.
This worked a treat.

No Idea, the car is on 67K the cambelt and waterpump looked very good so it may have been changed at 60k, however from the outside of the engine, it doesent look like the head has been removed.

+1 for Daedalus suggestion. I took the belt off and refitted it twice trying to get that alignment. Turning the crank back a bit can make all the difference in gettinbg a perfect alignment.
