St. Russell has fixed George!
Thank you Thank You Thank You to everyone who advised me to get in touch with Russell (MGSolutions)...what a lovely, fantastic guy! I am SOOOOOO happy!!!!
:woohoo:
He has sorted George's HGF and he is now purring happily (George, not Russell!).
What can I say? it only took him about 3 hours- less time than it took him to drive to my house! I thought it was very reasonable price wise, and I will certainly be using him again for servicing etc etc. :yesnod:
Also, he spoke VERY highly of some of the people on this forum, which I thought was reassuring to a novice like myself.
Here's hoping for a fine day today, then I can get out with the roof down!
:whee:
I've attached some pics of the offending part for those who like to see such horrors...
Thanks again,
Maggy x

I'll have to see what I am doing.
The only problem with chatting to people who know what they are doing is that they might find out that I have been bluffing all this time.
Is it snowing over your way?

Well, I was thinking about it until I heard my Nissan failed its MOT (broken rear spring). So it looks as if I'll be busy next weekend.:dunno:

It's not the time, it's the lack of desire to do it myself. I'm getting the MOT garage mechanic guy to do it, he only charges £25 an hour and he can get the springs cheaper than I can.
