The Border Patrol.
A few of us have formed as the founder members, but everyone is welcome to take part in thinking and planning days out. You don't have to be from these exact areas to take part, those from further afield will be more than welcome.
We are thinking of having out inaugural day out on Easter Sunday (4th April), depending on interest, from Hexham up to Kielder reservoir, stopping at Kielder for some food, and then back down to Hexham. There will be plenty of photo ops etc.
A few of us are doing a trial run tomorrow to see if the roads are suitable and what pubs do grub etc.
Please let me know if you are interested in the Easter Sunday run and also if you are interested in future runs by The Border Patrol.
Future events will be published in the events section.

Although slightly out of area, I'd love to join as a Border Raider...if not a fully fledged Border Patroller!!
Would love to join you on Easter Sunday if that's ok!

Great news. Did the run on Sunday and there were some great views and roads. Have some pics I will post up.

We went up past kielder, up to Hawick and back.
Well, some of us did.
We started off with 3, which went down to 2 and then 1.
Here's some pics
The three cars at Kielder reservoir
Three cars at the border
Shortly after which Phil left us because the roads were too scary and he wasn't allowed out late.
Just before Hawick, Robert & Patsy decided to leave us and get a lift back. Apparently, all the driving was too much for them.
Waving goodbye

Do you like the little version of your badge in an octagon, Clive ? Here's one in the original colours:-

Just goes to show my drives are challenging. Seriously though, there re some nice roads out there, it's just a shame Phil had to go to work and Rob couldn't be bothered to drive back. :dunno:
The badges are good, but the original still stands as the official one.
To be honest, it is the group that matters and the people in it, so if people want to do their own custom badges for themselves then by all means feel free, as long as it says "The Border Patrol". I will get some official ones made up for the windscreen.
