I know what you mean.
I won't let a diet get the better of me. I have defeated hundreds of them. ;)

a/.
If I'm cooking - Spicy Beef Salad(Thai) - I first had this in a local restaurant on the way to the Golden Temple, Chiang Mai Thailand. It was absolutely delicious and so spicy I was crying while I ate it!

If Sheila's cooking - Arrosto di Maiale al Latte. Basically pork loin braised in Milk. Doesn't sound exciting but the meat is so tender after the braising and the milk is cooked down until it is a caramelized sticky sauce. Served with Mashed Potatoes with Parmesan, and mushrooms in lemon and Parsley sauce.

B/.
Fish and Chips - Got to be!

C/.
Abroad - Ristorante Alfredo Sul Arno in Florence, Italy. We visit Italy a lot, and this is the restaurant we always go to in Florence, our favourite city. On the river overlooking the Ponte Vecchio.

At home - Gianni's Ristorante in Carlisle. A wonderful cheap Italian with all Italian staff, excellent cheap food and wonderful Italian wines at sensible prices.

D/.
Gooseberry Crumble with Custard. Little tasty gooseberries collected from the local hedgerows, crumble made by me, custard made by Sheila.

My God I'm starving now!
