Speed Pulse on Mk1

It appears that for it to work correctly I need to make a connection to input the speed pulse.
Does anyone know if the Mark 1 F has this facility and, if so, where is the best place to access the wire?
Thanks.

I think you would need a Mk2 to get an electronic speed signal.:dunno:laz1957;16479 wrote: I'm thinking of upgrading my stereo to a SatNav version.

Why would sat nav need this anyway?

The power steering must still get a speed signal, so I thought there must be a sender in the dash somewhere.
Dieters site shows a WB cable (White Black) and it says Mk1, but it looks supiciously like a MEMs3. http://www.mgfcar.de/schedules/sb14.jpg

I do know someone who used a bicycle speedo to generate a pulse for his emerald ECU on his T16 maestro, I think he mounted it on an inner hub or a drive shaft.

Some Mk1's do have ABS, it was an optional extra
