I had a serious common sense fail......

I fiddles around with cables at weekend. Seems to be the actual mechanism that sticks. In my moment of apparent genius, I realised that if I removed the cable clip, the dial was able to turn round in both directions freely, so I left it.


Of course the result is now that my dial turns...great...but the heater is now stuck on cold (yes its actually cold now )

Obviously the cable is moving but not actually moving the mechanism as it can just slip and slide!!

Sometimes I think I need put down by a vet!!
