Now I don't mind you raising your concerns on here - this is general chat & you are free to discuss whatever you wish within the boundaries of the forum rules - however if you feel strongly about it take the issue up with Steve Childs & his team as there really is nothing we can do about it here and I'd rather focus on the future of this community right here than bemoan the downfall of another.

I wish that you could bring these points (which imho are perfectly valid) to the actual mod/admin team of .org without the thread resorting to petty squabbling.

Not intended to slag other site off, just the way I feel at the minute and the current climate over there (and my being scrutinised) would only result in the argument going one way. Just wanted to talk impartially about it without it degenerating into me getting banned or something.

Unfortunately, this is the way that things are done. Wave the big stick at everybody rather than address the problem directly.CJJ;2613 wrote: I hope it finds a good balance.
I can't help feeling though that a few peoples noses have been put out of joint lately and they are falling back on flashing the rules around. I may be wrong but it seems like a child who has suddenly gone into a sulk.
Instead of leaving everyone feeling as though they are having their knuckles wrapped, why don't they have the sphericals to PM the people that they think are behind the problems. I realise I may be one of them, but at least then I would know, but at the minute I feel dirty without even knowing why.
I actually went on there to do some posting, but when I saw that post it just drained my will to be there. I will just have to see how it goes. :dunno:
Having worked for a very big firm, I can confirm that this happens there too.
The powers would rather change an entire system that works fine for all apart from 1 or 2, rather than directly challenge the problem.
And it drove me insane!
ps The reason you feel dirty is that you're a bad, bad little boy! Now go and stand on the naughty step!

Please don't think I would accuse you of slagging .org off Clive, I know how much effort you have put into both .org & the T Bar and are therefore annoyed with the way you and others are being scrutinised and condemned.
I'm just conscious of the fact that we are not here to handle the spillover from .org - let them deal with their problems however bad they may be. I am simply concerned with the direction this thread is heading in as we are not .org's personal problem pages. There are clearly a lot of issues with the F/TF section over there and the way it is being managed however that is one of the reasons I created this forum so that members weren't forced to be tangled up in the politics of .org but could instead focus on enjoying MG ownership again. Therefore let's have fun and enjoy our MGs before head gasket failure strikes us!

Oh dear what have you done!
Well I can't say I'll be disappointed to have you consider this place a home mate, "mod" title aside, you are a good friend and deserve to be happy and enjoy your MG and if you feel like you can do that here then I am touched.
