Yeah, mine went all along the pipe and not at the brackets. :yesnod:

Been thinking about the possibility of just replacing them with a length of silicon piping with suitably space brackets to hold it all secure and protect it. Stronger than rubber and more flexible than the steel ones, will have to price it up and see
The MGOC would like to know of your problems with the leaks on their SS underfloor pipes, being stainless they should not have failed!!! " not fit for purpose" is the legal term ~ it is worth a call , speak to Chris Bentley

Unfortunately they have now been cut up and "repaired". I had to get the car running again so had no choice.
Looking at the bracket I cut out, the weld on the side that leaks look quite a bit different. I'll get it cleaned up and grab a pic when I get a chance, meanwhile, it's off to pay the tax man his six-monthly wage :pinch:

Must be poor coolant mixture, as I have had mild steel pipes in long cold very subzero temps and never seen that.
Always check your coolant mixture folks!

Yes that split is classic result of the pipe freezing, seen it many times on copper tube and the "burst" is exactly like this  the rest of the pipes lok knackered anyway.
Will be very interested to see the photo from gotenks showing the failed bracket
