Chatbox suggestion.

This is a great forum. But had you thought about considering a live chatbox at the top of the front page? I belong to a computer geek forum also and find that the chatbox is a great source for live feedback, help and just general banter for members and for guests. I've posted a screenshot that gives an idea of how it works. Might be worth considering next time you do an overhaul . Still great here though.

nice idea leigh, Its something iv'e thought about adding but think a lot of our members wouldn't be inclinded to use it. Past history of some additions to the site has caused uproar

However , The if majority show an interest, i'm happy to add it.

It's a big bonus to any site. Even if only to say 'Hi' to the other users you can see online at the foot of the page. Also, it can be used for 'live chat' or simply leaving a message for others generally who can see it on scrolling up.

As for 'members' not using it. Well, as of right now, there are 2 members here (me and you) and 112 guests . I'm sure some of them have questions that might warrant it's use. Then the experts will be able to leave an expedient answer and site membership should increase as a small incentive bonus. :woohoo:

Well it stops the need to communicate like this for one .

The computer forum I belong to has had it for a while now and since then a few have followed suit and are also using it. I don't know of any enthusiast forums that use it.. just yet.

Ask Challenger for help, a young English tech guy on Trubritar forums if you need any. I'm sure he'll be only too happy to do so. In fact all the mods are very helpful there.. here too .

It's not everyone's cup of tea . It's just handy for quick questions or saying Hi. But yes, the main posts here are the important bits. Especially for new owners like me. It's been a real Godsend finding this place.
