Thank you Leigh and GIR - yes, I understand all that (although I couldn't clearly see what you input in your video) but I assume I have to put the html link in for your picture previously uploaded to a web hosting site?

This does not save as such - the http:// ie the html link is missing. When added manually to the link in the signature, it still produces as my post above. So how do you input a picture (other than the "stock" image) please. I'm pretty techno savvy but this has me stumped.

Just an idea, but seeing as people are coming up with different avatars for the group, it might be good to add these alternate avatar codes to the Darkside group page and people can choose which one they want in their sig.
