Very ingenious but not the correct answer.
It is, specifically that particular type of car. And that's a much earlier engine than that sad MIdget's.

You should have asked for the model of car it was fitted too as part of the answer!!! think you are on a "hiding to nothing"posting pictures of MGF/TF parts on this forum.
I guessed the Hydragas sphere from the first picture, but was too late to reply must keep up!!!

Bryan - it's only easy when you know the answer, there are plenty of people on here new to the MGF/TF world and many others who do not yet involve themselves in the mechanical side of their vehicles.
It's only a bit of fun and the simple ones like the clutch master cylinder and Hydragas sphere were put in to make it more inclusive for the slower, less able, so not to be too challenging you understand
Funny you liked those two in particular

The name I believe is Ken Miles?
The engine, 1466cc MG XPEG, was used in the 'Flying Shingle designed and raced by him in 1954.
He went on to become a key member of the Shelby/Cobra race team in the early 60's.
One of us has to be correct Bryan, good luck

Interesting connection, but no!
It's not a 1954 1466cc MG XPEG engine.
