Look in the Downloads section in community. You'll find lots of goodies inc. electrical wiring diagrams.

All connected and no firing
I just hear the click of the relay but no cranking, triple checked the connections but a white/red, Black/yellow doesn't seem to do it. Any ideas what connections I could use to check the relay is actually allowing the power to go to the crank?

It looks to me that the red/blue is the live feed for position 2 on the ign key and the white/red is the power to the starter solenoid. So you would need to fit the relay into there. Disconnecting the white/red wire from the ign key.
So that you connect red/blue to white/red through the starter switch.
But please don't just take my word for it, get someone qualified to agree or disagree.
Black yellow could be the illumination for the ign key.

I will have another look tomorrow, but its a big fat wire the black/yellow so it take a hell of a current to the illumination. I also thought that if I short the wire when on position 2 it should crank and hence prove if they are correct and the relay is just Knackered.

I wouldn't disconnect wires from the ignition switch. I would wire the start button in parralel so that either the key or the button could be used to crank the starter. Come to think of it, if you wired it that way you probably wouldn't need to use multiple relays to disconnect unneeded circuits prior to cranking. when starting the car in winter conditions where you need to preserve your battery and get maximum cranking you could just use the key, and save the button for when you want to show off. It really is just a gadget after all.
Here's a link to the original how-to on the power adaptop from .org The Link
Reading the last posts it may be a better idea to wire it to an ignition switched circuit rather than the lighter feed (always on)

Rich
the plan was to go in parallel and always have a key option, however challenge at the moment is to get the engine to crank. I will post results once i have a way forward.
