I think it is still in the year 2000

The clock matches me losing track of time when I'm out for a drive :silly:

MG time, thats an interesting idea. I see it as the 1930s a warm dry summer day and a superchaged PB. running well on empty roads through the Chilterns. That's with a period correct car, perhaps if its "strange" we can add in a time travelling TF. It would have to take its own oil of course synthetic hadnt been invented, Running on the Persian sourced petrol it would not even need a decat.

When I bought my Mk 1 F last year the clock ran slow and the oil temp gauge had a nasty habit of going off the scale after about 30 mins driving but would return to normal when tapped.

Disconnectig the power from the clock for a few minutes and blowing in the back of the temp gauge fixed both of 'em

Have to say the clock in my mk2 F was utter rubbish. Worked when it felt like and then only once Ina blue moon would it actually work to the point you noticed.

The clock in the TF though is spot on, set it and forget it as you know that until its the clock changing time of year or you need to remove the battery it will be accurate.

Mine worked fine in the TF until last week when it started running backwards at full tilt for a few minutes, followed by ticking forwards with minutes as seconds, before dieing.

You need to get some alfa Gtv visors off fleabay, I did a how to on .org, they are near on a straight fit, much much better quality, they do obscure the rear view mirror a bit but not enough to annoy.
