Took mine to get MOT'd yesterday and I picked it up with the engine management light suddenly on and it sounding like a bag of spanners. They told me it had failed on emissions, however on further inspection today the Lambda sensor was unplugged....

Quite a few times! Once put a car in to have the track rod ends done and got it back, when driving down the motorway got a vibration that gradually worsened,. Pulled off and went into a tyre place and they told me that the wheel nuts hadn't been tightened up! :omg:

Halfords? :omg: Did you ask them why they'd disconnected it?
I always use Peter Allison Auto Repairs, High Moor Farm Garage, How Mill, Brampton. He is brilliant!

He does MOTs as well as repairs. I've just put a review up on the forum.
Last MOT I stayed with him while he mot'ed it and he tried for ages to get the emissions to pass, and in the end suggested I do a quick Italian tune up and bring it back. Passed, no problems.

I've heard a hot TF even with a de-cat can pass an emissions test.
