Having just returned from a 3000km post Christmas Road trip (in the 4x4 not MG-F) I've fetched the MG-F from its garage and am indulging in MG-F motoring for the rest of the Summer Holidays here in the Southern Hemisphere. Am happy to report the air-conditioning is working perfectly...... :-)

Actually its been pretty cool here for December / January. Today its predicted to reach 28C. Its usually in the mid to high 30's. However Melbourne and Adelaide are holding up the side with temps approaching 40C and further inland its well into the 40's. As usual I fitted the hardtop for Summer as its just too hot and the sun too harsh at this time of year but I am regretting that now.....

winter over here has been pretty mild wet and windy so far.
Last year, we were about 20 degrees colder.

Drive them, while you can. :)

Yes, last year was unique in the UK. Worst weather for decades. As someone said, leave them parked up if the weather gets too extreme. But cars do generally benefit from being driven, not being kept in light preservation cos it's cold out. :) That's the owners choice of course. But you know what happens as soon as you sorn your car, garage it or even put the tintop on don't you? Yes, we get an October heatwave  . You just can't seem to gauge the weather nowadays.

My roof is down daily, day or night, torrents depending. If it snows, I'll be using the lil 206 pug. That bounces quite well. Drive them, while you can gets my vote. :)

Have just returned from a lovely Summer's Day drive along my favourite piece of local mountain road. Not a long drive, approx 50 km each way to a lovely coffee shop over looking the valley. Lovely sunny day, temps in the high 20C range. Hard top on, air-con humming and stereo playing Rumor.....
