I think if you swap manifold and downpipe together you're OK but I'm happy to be corrected if someone knows for sure.:shrug:

The vendor lists three options

1) MGF 1995-2000 which is 4 bolt



2) MGF 2000-2002 which is 6 bolt



3) MG TF version 2002 on, with 6 bolt



TBH the last two look like the same arrangement but photographed from a different angle.

It does look that way in those photos. but it starts in the same place(engine) and ends in the same place(cat) so in theory should be interchangeable.:shrug:

We need a definitive opinion from someone who knows. :yesnod:

I've only heard people having issues with back boxes on the MGF's, having to fit a 90 degree section between cat and back box.

Having looked in to this, apologies to David, you're quite correct.

If you are changing both the manifold and downpipe then either system will do.

Of course the downside with the six-bolt version is that you would have to fit six bolts with nuts and fiddly spring washers! :pinch:
