Rear spoilers
All I can definitley say is it didnt fo any harm. The car didnt have a problem at legal speeds before so I think it goes and handles better. You cant detect anything less than 5 BHP. Race mechanics will make a change and send you out, if its less than 5 you say, no effect. They then put it back to before, if you say, its gone flat they know it gained something like 5 BHP. I guess excess power gain through drag reduction works the same. No way am I fiddling with all those self tappers to find out though :nonod: .Leigh Ping wrote: Haha  . How it drives and differs with the front spoiler before and after would have sufficed. Try and keep it to laymans. For my sake.
I also got the car rempped by Mark at ZandF and the improvement he produced swamps anything else.
Edit, Softy, sorry , would you like your thread back?

Unlike a front splitter the rear spoiler doesn't make any noticeable difference at the speeds most of us drive.
They really are all about looks.
I added a Trophy spoiler to my car and am happy with it but it does look a bit boy racer (Not nearly as much as the hoops though, they really are overkill!) I would be tempted to remove the hoops if I had a spare T-bar, but the spoiler will stay.
Jan, I think your car looks great as is, but I also think it would look good with a spoiler.
So there, wasn't that helpful! :yesnod: :nonod: :coat:

As long as you don't fit something inappropriate, like those park bench on scaffolding affairs! :bust:

I think my problem is that it is not a mod that you can undo one done because as said of the holes it will leave
So I will leave it, my main concern was not the drag factor, in auto solo I never get out of first anyway, it is because of her colour and not wanting to make her look dated, if you get my drift
So I will resist this darkside bit and thank you for some very well thought out responses :broon:

The only spoiler that has been proved to work at all is the one that MG TF 200HDP developed.
Suits me as its understated and is on the list of what next to do.
Thing is that list is quite long....

If you get the right spoiler, it is fitted without the need to drill holes
I have a spoiler from a MG ZS / Rover 45 SALOON (not hatch). There are two types of this particular style, one is a bolt on as normal but the one I have is fitted with 4 small clips & 2 sticky pads. It is a perfect fit for the F!
They are like rocking horse poo though!!

I agree - this does look the best having the spoiler integrated into the boot :broon: that would suit Madam much better than adding a separate spoiler.
