I use THIS seller on eBay for stainless fasteners.

He does a full range rather than just the under bonnet kits, supplies 'A2' quality, and will do special orders.

I've used stainless for non critical stuff.. Like under bonnet etc..

But for wish bones and trailing arms I'd rather use 12.9's

Subframe bolts (the M8) ones will be 12.9's too.. And the threads copper greased to hopefully stop them snapping in future

Yeah I had a issue with the tf frame on the metro. I have brand new wishbone bolts here (bought from b&g) but I don't have a thread gauge :(

Mmmmm

Need to find the original bolts now and measure the pitch

Cheers for the heads up.

All of the othe M8 and M10 bolts appear to be standard..

Will feed back if I make any progress

Yeah that's what I found too. I just remember messing about with the wishbone bolts.

Tbh I need to stop being tight and buy a tap and die set anyway

Allan ignore me. My other frame must have had issues. I've just ran a m12 down these bolts no issues.

I'm talking out my arse, ignore me.

After JoH scared the poop out of me.. I found a standard MGF wish bone bolt

Factory standard on the rears are M12x1.75 (checked with my fisher price tap n die set)

This is a standard bolt size..
Then checked the front wishbone bolts..

Standard are M12x1.75 too..

The factory bolts have a tapered end to help the bolt locate.. I'll replicate this with the grinder and die set..

Then.. Checked the TF rear subframe.. That's M12x1.75 too..

I've taken pics.. Will upload later

Standard bolts are 8.8.. My new ones are 12.9. The thread in the subframe will be lock tighted as per factory.. And the wish bone sleeves greased
