Pumped up the tyres. Feels like a totally different car and you don't feel so many bumps in the road and it doesn't try to kill you when you brake.

I was also going to change the gear and handbrake gaiters but the colour red wasn't so great when it arrived and wouldn't have matched the trophy red stuff inside so they are going back and I think I will stick to black.

Had to replace the external drivers side door handle. Total pig of a job, but the plastic spigot had broken off that holds the steel bar that moves the link rods.
Hope I don't have to do another....if you have hands like shovels, you got no chance!
Top marks to MGFnTFbitz for supplying a top condition replacement at only £15!

I had to remove/replace the near side handle as I managed to over travel the link rod out of position when replacing the knackered door lock. Had to remove the handle to sort it. Not too bad unbolting through the access holes in the door but a bugger to replace the bolts. I resorted to the old trick of taping the bolt to the socket.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Morning....

The MG hasn't been out much as Sue is laid up with back probs. So, time for some bucket and spongery and a bit of hooverage together with normal fluid and tyre checks.

As its a bright but cold day, at the moment at least, I guess I'd better check if the hood still comes down and the wheels still go round....

Edit, an hour later.... It's now snowing.... Bugger.

Edit, an hour after last edit..... Blue skies again. Gotta love the Brit weather.....

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Finally got done, in between snow, sleet, rain and sunshine.... Been a while since she's shown her face in public (the TF not Sue....) so here's proof that they can survive year round use and living outside...:yesnod:

Got my TF rear subframe home from work yesterday (it's only been off the donor car 13 months).

Today I crushed my finger between a brake disc and a small club hammer, got the hubs etc. off the subframe and with the help of my son, got it all around to the back ready to refurbish.

Next - get on the net and order all the fresh bits.
