Before you start stripping out, check any bulkhead points that enter the cabin. Pedals, heater box etc. This often seems favourite, as does window seals dripping in.

Try googling 'wet TF carpets' and prepare for many results! Good luck.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Well, i found my water leak. there is a blanking plate where the steering column would be if it was a left hooker, and the seal had disintegrated.

Managed to find a replacement plate and seal on Rimmer bros for £1.74, as they where so cheap, i ordered 2 to have one as a spare just in case they become unobtainable in the future. i will use a smear of sealant on it and an extra bead around the outside edge when i fit the new one as added protection.

Carpets are going to take days to dry out so im planning on rubbing down where there is surface rust (all just surface thank god) treating with krust as i have a big pot of it and then im giving the whole floor and rear bulkhead a few coats of good ol hammerite as a protective layer. Can also give my seats a proper good clean as they are out of the car. fun!

Removed all off the cables etc. from the CD changer system someone had installed. Cleaned it ready for FRL on Saturday.

Full valet and wheel clean ready for FRL. I was going to clean it before I drive down this morning, but its begun to rain a bit here in Staffordshire, so will take my wow shine and clean it at the hotel!
If any of you are going tonight to FRL, pop over and introduce yourself and say hi!

Today I finished stripping the rear TF subframe for my F, need to clean, paint and replace the worn bushes so I can get the car back on the road.
