Today it finally got finished, the hours have been never ending i underestimated the task in terms of time.
Two days to take one apart lost count of the manhours gone into this to put it back together with a lot of new parts.
The first customer who came in this afternoon commented on how clean it was but the overall opinion they did not like the colour which is understandable some do,some do not.
All being well I would like to do another one after the summer this time in OE spec & OE Colour a FLAME RED mark one.
With the price of mgfs you cannot make a profit on a rebuild of this scale at the moment but i know these cars inside out and today got a bit of satisfaction at the end result.

What are your plans for it now?
Think you might have to get a bigger unit, seeing you're restoring another one

That's a nicely done car.
The green makes it unique but still looks good on the F.
I enjoy following your builds...Keep em coming!

Left it peeled back as i fitted the TF Brace back in this morning the bolts fix there.
I do have a new lighter grey carpet to go in but i mulling over ,do i fit the trophy rear spoiler back on or not.
If i do the metal swarf will all collect in the scrap carpet when i drill through the boot, always a method to the madness.

Took for MOT last week and added some road tax.
Fitted the TF front subframe brace and included the centre bolt bracket which i unpicked from a TF shell and welded to the underneath of the MGF as pictured.
Ideally i will need to paint the braces up to keep the cosmetic detail inline with the rest of the car, however i was keen to get a test drive in today with the roads dry and before the autumn kicks in.
I only done 40 miles however it was very satisfying to be rolling again after all the time put into this. No major problems a slight knock coming from rear driver for me to investigate and interior lights staying on which i suspect door mechanism switch.
The addition of solid mounts polybushing and the bilstein suspension, i was wondering how it would perform i had my reservations it could be to harsh on the rebound but luckily it has transformed the handling the body as really stiffened up without being to crude. Also the addition of the TF steering rack maybe because its also brand new but the feel felt a lot better.
The VVC engine still feels a bit underpowered to me on lower revs and a delay before something happens, but i have been driving a EVO X all summer i didnt get to carried away with new brakes & clutch plate and the engine overhaul.Really pleased i have had no major running in problems.

My wife's F is flame red; it's a great colour. People will see her car at a show and come over to it and not even notice my amaranth-coloured F parked right beside it.
