Hello. Great news, :woohoo: My Oil filter removal tool has arrived (please see other thread) Guess what :omg: there is enough room to mark a clock face on the end, and to etch degrees and radians around the rim. I think I can incorporate a sleeve for a thermometer (Kelvin, Celsius, Reaumur or whatever) and bind it all in thermal tape.
Thats it! Wine and lager coming to ambient temperature (what ever that is).. 3 Degrees Greatest Hits CD on order. I even bet Lord Kelvin is smiling down on us, If he is out of the garage.
All I have to do now is remember where I put the bloody oil  Age thing.

Thats some oil loss ...i dont think that car will rot underneath for a while....we had a oil loss at work some years back......our boss dismissed pumping oil from barrels using hand pumps.....in favour of a ibc tank

i think the capacity is 1000 litres......after raising the tank and a delivery commenced on the friday morning of 15w/40 oil......it was used a couple of times in the day...but was reported of the tap turning itself on......yes it was seen moving after closing the tap...(kelvins ghost).......a wooden chock was jammed in the tap as a precaution........monday morning i saw a awful sight.........the tank had emptied itself allover the yard............spill kits and a abundance of sawdust was used........it takes a lot of effort to clear large amounts properly.........our company is back to using barrels.
