I have had the engine and subframe out much longer than I had hoped. As with most jobs, you start off with one thing and soon you seem to be cleaning, painting, or replacing almost everything. despite taking copious amounts of pictures I'm almost certain I have assembled the trailing arm correctly but I have yet to find any evidence on the net to confirm this.
A few I have spoken to seem to be at a loss about the flat plate I show them but it gives all the impression of fitting between the top of the bush and arm. I have attached several pics hope it makes some sense.

Sorry, I don't remember that part but my TF was an early pre-production one, it doesn't show on rimmers either.

I have been reliably informed that it is assembled as I had suspected but to find any supporting documentation has been all but impossible. Thanks for taking the time to reply and as always I will be back for further advice.
