Where does this pipe plug in?
I hope to get the TF on the road this month, this small plastic pipe (about 4mm diameter) wasn’t connected. It comes from a solenoid (?) in the engine compartment above the offside wheel and is long enough to come all the way over to the other side, but where does it go?

There was a period when a vacuum valve was fitted in the off side exhaust tail pipe it was for noise abatement across a certain rev range. I don’t think it reigned for very long & most of those original exhausts will have been change for standard ones long ago.
I suspect what you have is the dangly bit which was rarely removed & simply tucked up behind the plastic wheel arch liner.
I think the modus operandi was at the proscribed rev range the solenoid was energised & a vacuum from the inlet manifold shut that tail pipe, thus muting the sound. Sounds daft, right across the really raspy rev range.
The buggers.

Thank you for that, I had already removed the pipe that connects to the manifold and blocked the hole. I only found this while looking for any disconnected wires etc as I get it ready to go back on the road. Due to its very clean condition and length I never thought that this was for the exhaust divertor valve
