Hi All,
My TF failed the MOT yesterday on one wiper blade and terrible emissions. I’ve very recently replaced the post cat sensor and got rid of the MIL since. The tester stated that the readings are so far out it’s likely the cat and not just the pre cat sensor. I’ve not experienced any of the faulty cat symptoms given by a web search, but given that the car is now just over 21 years old I’m inclined to believe it but your thoughts would be appreciated before I place an order with Bitz for it and the pre sensor. On the same day as tyres all round for the Freelander too!🫣
Cheers,
Michael.

If you order from Bitz’ you are virtually certain to get the correct items & in my experience the correct nuts & bolts also.
The quality will be there as what you get is what they use & no business wants comeback on a job because of an inferior item.
Do it properly, do it once.
They’ve never been out of stock of anything I’ve wanted.

If in doubt it's always worth a call or Email to Darren or Jill before ordering just to make doubly sure. They never mind

Thanks all for your replies.
An update:
Out in the TF today and the MIL came on again. When I got to where I was going I read the code(s) and it was 0420 - Cat system bank 1 efficiency below threshold.

Yon ‘tinter web mentions stuff like post cat sensor, bad cat, bad fuel etc. As above in this thread I’ve recently had replaced both O2 sensors and the cat.
So after reading that and the fact I was down to around 1/8 tank and it could be quite elderly fuel I put £40 worth of posh juice in for the drive ( 20 miles) back - no MIL. So will see how it goes……
Cheers,
M.
