Does anyone know where I can purchase the metal spring clips that retain many of the multi plugs in the engine bay. I have made my own from paperclips in the past but would rather have the real thing.

Thanks

The gremlins seem particularly fond of holding these things 🙄

When you remove these plugs are you pulling the wire clip out of the plug?
if you push the clip down towards the plug it will open and allow you to disconnent the plug without the risk of loosing the clip.
As to finding replacements they should be availible from automotive electrical trade outlets, or next time you're at the scrappies just harvest some from the wrecks, these plugs are pretty generic and are found on most brands of cars.

Hi Cobber,
My mistake then, have been pulling them outwards, they sometimes stay in place but more often than drop off 🙄

Good day today, I learned something new, never to old eh!

Squeezing the spring clip to free the mating section can be difficult, especially if they are in a place where you can barely see or reach. Depressing the clip at arms length should be a module on the “World Strongest Man”.
I’ve taken to using cable ties in out of the way places; as I have cause to divide a pair I dispense with the clip & cable tie & donate the clips to my lad. His company has to use these as they are original spec & his lads have the same problem as the rest of us.

In my now distant working life I found this company very useful, they may be worth a shout.
