Morning all,
should the wipers come on automatically when I use the water spray function ?
Or, is it a case of pulling down the stalk and pulling back at the same time?
Thanks
Richard.

It depends on the car, I think I’m right in saying that the Lucas system were not interlinked, where as the pektron were.
It can be done & it’s not difficult, you can buy a kit off eBay for around £15 & for that you get a length of wire, some tywraps & instructions.
If you have a piece of wire & common sense you’ll have no problem.
I covered this quite a few years ago, I’ll see if I can find it if you want, although a number of members considered the modifications superfluous.

Thankyou,
I can adopt the if it aint broke dont fix it attitude here.
As long as it passes an MOT as it is, I am happy putting up with it.

Hi its easy to convert, a length of wire and a soldering iron.
solder one end to the black/green wire on the wiper switch, the other end connects to pin 23 on the 26 pin plug on the back of the red mfu in the back of the under dash fusebox. you will need a tiny spade connector, if you cant get any, i have one you can have, just p&p..
