Right Hand Wiper Stopped Working

The left wiper is working as normal. I'm presuming that there is a linkage that has broken or become disconnected between the wipers? Is the linkage accessed by removing the wiper arms and the black plastic panel under them on the scuttle? The broken wiper stopped in the deployed position but can be manually moved back to it's park. 2004 TF.

Given that only one of them is effected it will be a linkage problem, it’s not happed to me but I understand it’s a common ailment and I believe that there are solutions available

The linkages can be accessed by removing the large black plastic underbonnet cover. A permanent fix can be achieved with a Mike Satur linkage  assembly, or temporarily/ permanently with these clips.

It’s well known that I like rose joints & I made replacements for my failing set of rods; they are made to the exact dimensions of the commercial offerings.
Fancy, yes, but they don’t do any more that the standard & it was an absolute kipper to get right.
The motor crank has to be modified, as do the wiper base mech’.
I’d go with David’s idea, they’re available off eBay, are inexpensive & you’ll return to normality in a fraction of the time than if you go for the fancy option.
They’re described as a temporary fix, but if fitted properly I bet they’re a fit & forget.

I have a repair clip that you could have for postage costs or free to pick up if you want it.

Thanks, but I ordered a pair of eBay via the link. £2.03 with a discount code, so very reasonable.

Looks like the clips work fine if it is the top part of the link/bush that has failed, but not when, as in my case, it is the bottom part?

I've never had to use one of these clips.
I see you have the clip on the upper arm, have you tried to fit it to the failed lower arm?

No, it only works on the top; square edge to square edge. Even if it would open wide enough to go onto the bottom link, the motion of the round area it would sit on would ping it off...

I guess the only thing for it is to replace the lower arm then.
