Hi after looking closely at the inlet manifold I notice that there is a green electrical socket at the throttle body end. Any idea as to why its there and what its for? because I know that I have not removed a connector from it and I can't see a spare one anywhere. Very puzzled.

Yes, but I have not disconnected a plug from it and I can't see a spare one anywhere.

If you study tbat photo, you might find there's a clue to what it is.🤣
There should be a matching green plug somewhere. Although there's something niggling in the back of my brain, that the inlet air temp was consolidated into the MAP sensor...
After some checking I can confirm the mems3 cars have a combined IAT/MAP sensor, so that green sensor is redundant.
