Posted 7 months 2 weeks ago #220657The car features a OBD2 interface (16 pin).
The engine is controlled via a MEMS 1.9 ECU.
I'm trying to find the appropriate diagnostic scanner for my car.
Can any members recommend or suggest an appropriate device ?

Posted 7 months 2 weeks ago #220666As Cobber says, the port is an OBD1 port and the www.pscan.uk is the diagnostic tool for the job. There are alternatives solutions but they are much more expensive and less user friendly.

Posted 7 months 6 days ago #220830I’m making a special enclosure for a circuit, it’s number three of a design. I started making it before the board arrived, which came earlier & it won’t fit; the board has grown. I’ll have to remake a couple of bits , which is a bugger. Three devices, two of which are exactly the same & one, which is functionally identical but larger.

Posted 6 months 3 weeks ago #221120I make these in batches of one hundred at a time.
This makes it much harder to achieve the same tolerances as something like an iphone.
The design decision I made was that people would care more about how well it works for a reasonable price than that it feels nice like an mass produced item.
The cases are made from machined plastic sheet that's folded into shape, they aren't molded like products that are produced in the hundreds of thousands.
