Lost files

This morning my laptop stopped due to low battery as it was loading windows.
It suggested that it tried to repair itsself and that no files would be lost.
When it re started the short cuts to the pscan are no longer there, nor are any other files related to it either.

What can I do to restore it ?

Get windows to search for the pscan executable file in case it is still there any it is just the shortcut that is lost
