Adding new Pektron fob

It came in a plastic package with 2 barcodes.
For clarity, the fobs are the round ones with 3 buttons.
The label on the packaging has the SAIC logo.
Now for the stupid questions...
Can a fob use any valid barcode or does a barcode "belong" to a particular fob?
In addition, I have 2 working fobs (one for me and Mrs) and these 2 new fobs are for insurance, in case I lose a fob.
I know the EKA. Can I just go ahead and code the new fobs or do I need to recode the original fobs as well?
Slightly apprehensive....
A few separate questions there. Thanks for your patience.

I'm pretty sure that each barcode is fob specific.
There is some useful info tucked away on the pscan website .
There is also a YouTube video on programming a new Pektron fob. The YouTube link is included in the article above.
I have a fob I need to programme but, at present, my EKA code does not work. I think this is due to a fault in the door lock so I need to sort that out first. I don't dare to try reprogramming until I know that the EKA works.

Looks like I have to make a call to the MGOC to identify which fob is linked with which barcode.
I am in the fortunate position to have read the EKA using a p-scan.
But I will not go further until the fob/barcode situation is clearer.

All the more reason that having the ability to disarm the alarm and central locking would be handy, there will come a time, probably in the not too distant future when these fobs will become unavailable. The code is specific to the fob, and, once the fob is linked to a car the code is no longer useful.

I have 2 fobs and 2 barcodes but the packaging does not identify which fob is linked to which barcode
They are new and from MGOC.
Now discussing with them.
I fear that "having a go" might render both useless.

The fob would have to be pressed dozens of times before it rolls out of the window.

You can see my lack of knowledge from my caution.
Now I think I get it.
"Loading" one of the 2 barcodes to the ECU through P-scan will make one of the fobs work.
All that is left is to load the other.
Makes sense. Not until the weekend though.
